Who we are:

United for Christ (UFC) is a student ministry that unites high school students from multiple schools and churches via weekly Bible clubs, fellowship, outreach events and fundraising.

Seven Sacramento area high schools are currently represented by UFC:

  1. Mesa Verde High School
  2. San Juan High School
  3. Casa Roble High School
  4. Mira Loma High School
  5. Foothill High School
  6. Rio Americano
  7. Antelope High School (partners with UFC)

Leaders of individual Bible clubs are high school students from three different churches, yet the ministry as a whole is supervised by Elina Vederis of Missionary Gospel Church.

Our mission:

The mission of UFC is to strengthen  and encourage believers who are currently attending high school, equip students with the necessary resources to spread the message of the Gospel at their schools, and to raise up new believers that come to know Christ through the ministry of UFC.

What we do:

Each week, high school students from all walks of life get together at each of the seven participating high school campuses for a time of worship, Gospel message, discussion, prayer and fellowship. These Bible clubs are usually held during lunchtime and are led by student leaders from the respective schools. Although the Bible clubs meet on different campuses and on different days of the week, all of them share the same Bible lesson/curriculum prepared by Elina Vederis. Bible club leaders hold a separate meeting every week to pray for their high schools, plan future events and activities and share stories of what God is doing in their area of influence.

While leading high school Bible clubs is the primary focus of the ministry, UFC takes part in various types of activities and events. To reach unbelievers at high school, UFC has a goal of putting on at least one outreach service at each campus every year. Every other month, all high school students who participate in UFC Bible clubs come together for united fellowship at the park. They also participate in united community outreach efforts, like visiting the elderly, passing out flyers for upcoming outreach services or fundraising. Last year, UFC Bible clubs joined forces to raise $1,000 for a water well in Kenya, Africa.

How you can get involved:

  1. If you are a high school student and there is a UFC Bible club at your school, join!
  2. If you are a high school student, but there isn’t a Bible club at your school yet, talk to us about starting one! We will give you all the resources you need to lead the effort and we will support you every step of the way.
  3. If you are not a high school student, it’s ok! You can still volunteer at UFC’s high school outreach services and participate in all other events and activities!
  4. If you are a preacher or speaker and have a passion for high school ministry, talk to us about coming to speak at one of the Bible club meetings. We’re always excited about guest speakers!

How you can pray for us:

  1. Pray that every high school student hears the message of the Gospel and comes to know Jesus as his or her personal savior – through UFC or other means.
  2. Pray that Christian students would be courageous and bold about spreading the Gospel message to their fellow classmates and teachers.
  3. Pray that the student leaders of the Bible clubs would be equipped with wisdom, love and compassion to minister to those under their leadership.
  4. Pray that God would open the doors of opportunity at more high schools to allow outreach services to happen on campus.
  5. Pray for wisdom for Elina Vederis to supervise the ministry in a godly manner.
  6. Pray for more high school students to get involved in UFC Bible clubs and start new ones!

How you can financially support us:
